On holidays almost all businesses are closed. The supermarkets do open, but on that day their working hours would be like that of a Sunday. Some of the vendors at fruit and vegetable stands will also be found open.
On certain holidays such as Easter, Christmas and New Years most business houses and banks start slowing down from the morning before and by noon of the day before they are pretty much closed.
On Good Friday and Christmas absolutely nothing is open.
