Blue Ground Range is within the South Water Caye Marine Reserve, situated 10 to 12 miles off the coast of Sittee Point and Hopkins Village in the Stann Creek District.
The area offers excellent sheltered overnight anchorage. Approach needs to be made from the east. Even though the island is covered in mangrove the land is solid enough to walk through, but still a bit damp. With that said you could expect to find quite a bit of mosquitoes and no see ums. — {mprestriction ids=”1″}
There really isn’t much to say about Blue Ground Range except that the area is well known for its beautiful water colours, from turquoise blue, to deep blue, light green and crystal clear waters, that it is rich with marine life and the guests love swimming with the wild dolphins, which are normally here. Fishing is also excellent.
